Welcome to GET-BIT FISHING! We look forward to taking you on the fishing trip of a lifetime. Capt. Manny will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy some of the finest fishing southwest Florida has to offer. No request is too weird so go ahead and ask, I might surprise you!
The fertile waters of Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande, and Pine Island Sound produce world class Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Shark, Speckled Trout & Goliath Grouper Fishing for all levels of anglers from expert to beginner. Families and children as well can enjoy not only the great fishing, but the immensely diverse wildlife that calls the area home. On a typical trip it is not uncommon to run into bald eagles, manatees, dolphins, loggerhead turtles, gators, otters & a host of many spectacular forms of wildlife.
Some other species commonly caught on our trips include snapper, cobia, mackerel, kingfish, grouper, pompano, permit, barracuda, jack crevalle, bluefish, sawfish, and amberjack.
Many restaurants and marinas are conveniently located which offer an excellent way to break up a full day trip with a fine fresh seafood lunch or just a burger and a beer. The barrier islands; Boca Grande, Captiva & Sanibel offer some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches on earth so if you want to break for a swim with the kids it's just around the corner.
If sightseeing is more your style we offer dolphin tours and sunset cruises. Nothing tops the spectacular views of the harbor as the sun begins its decent every night. You are welcome to bring wine or other drinks and get some good use out of that camera!
Tarpon: There is no bigger rush than that of a hookup with a SILVER KING! Welcome to the tarpon capital of the world, from early April through October the mighty tarpon can be found in great numbers from Fort Myers to Boca Grande and inside Charlotte Harbor. The aerial acrobatics and sheer power of this majestic fish is something that you will not soon forget, in fact it's what keeps thousands of people coming back year after year to relive the exhilarating experience.
Live bait or artificial, these fish are a blast to hook up with. Whether you land one or not depends on a little skill on a lot of luck, so call to book a trip to do battle with these majestical gamefish today!
Redfish: Ready for some bulldog runs from the beautiful spot tail that brought me to Punta Gorda. There is no mistake when you hook into a solid redfish, they don't play around with your bait. Just eat and run, ask questions later!! From the outer sand bars to the shallowest of grass flats and oyster bars the elusive reds are always ready to test your skill. Stealth is a must when targeting these wary gamefish so we will often pole or trolling motor quietly while sightcasting. Summertime brings higher water and affords more blindcasting and wade fishing opportunities. Redfish are available all year with the best months being in the early spring and fall.
Snook: What can I say about one of the most exciting shallow water gamefish on the planet? It's razor sharp gill plates and lightning fast strikes will leave even the most seasoned veteran staring at a piece of sliced leader wondering WHAT? WHEN? HOW?
Snook fishing in Southwest Florida is nothing less than spectacular. Available all year, they will take a host of offerings and can be a blast to watch as you chum them up with some live greenies. The telltale pop that they leave when inhaling a bait on the surface is unmistakable and sure to get your adrenaline pumping.

Shark: If you like power, you'll love pulling on some of the prehistoric monsters that roam the area waters. From early spring through October several species of shark all willing and ready to tear up some tackle. The big boys come in following the tarpon in early April, Bulls and Hammerheads that can exceed the 1000lb mark. Almost scary if you think about it, but one of my favorite fish to catch. These brutes are made of pure muscle and don't give up until they are completely exhausted. Some others include blacktips, spinners, lemons, sandbars & nurse sharks. Usually fish with chum, some sort of cut bait and live bait. On some occasions we do throw artificials (topwater plugs specifically) which make for some fast and furious action with ferocious strikes that are not for the faint of heart.
